Types of Federal Firearms Licensees FFLS
If you wish to engage in manufacturing, importing or dealing in firearms, you must be licensed by the ATF as a Federal Firearms Licensee. There are nine types of Federal Firearms Licenses. Type one is for dealing solely in firearms. Type two is for firearms pawnbrokers. Type nine is for destructive device dealers. Type six is for the manufacture of ammunition for firearms. Type seven is for firearms manufacturers. Type ten is for destructive device manufacturers. Type eight is for importing firearms and ammunition. Type eleven is for importing destructive devices and ammunition. Type three is for curio and relic collectors.
